All enamel still bright and intact. Size is just over 1/2" across in diameter. Nice find for your antique and vintage fraternal jewelry collection. About KGE: The fraternal symbol of an eagle, skull, crossbones, and crown belongs to the Knights of the Golden Eagle (KGE), an American fraternal organization founded in 1873. The specific combination of symbols likely represents a higher degree within the order, incorporating general fraternal and mortality themes with the KGE's specific crusader-inspired ritual. Knights of the Golden Eagle (KGE) Mission: The KGE was a fraternal benefit society, meaning it provided social activities, financial aid to sick or unemployed members, and support for widows and orphans. Rituals and Degrees: Its ceremonies were based on the history of the medieval Crusades, emphasizing Christian themes. Members progressed through three degrees: Pilgrim, Knight, and Crusader. Symbolism: The KGE's emblems often depicted knights and crusader imagery. The motto is "Fidelity, Valor, and Honor". The organization is distinct from the Knights of the Golden Circle, a different, pro-slavery group from the Civil War era. Meaning of the symbols In a KGE context, the symbols have the following likely meanings: Eagle: The golden eagle is the central symbol of the order, representing strength, courage, and nobility. Crown: A crown is often used in fraternal symbolism to represent authority and honor. For the Knights of the Golden Eagle, it likely signifies the ultimate honor achieved by members who completed the higher degrees.

Antique 1920s 1930s Art Deco Green Cushion Cut Paste Rhinestone 4.5″ Stick Pin Jabot Hat Pin Stickpin Hatpin Restore Repurpose
Gorgeous antique early Art Deco 1920s hat pin, jabot or stick pin with deep green original early cushion cut paste rhinestones and early powdered type gold foil backs to the stones. Size is 4 1/2" long. The head measures 1" tall north to south by 3/4" wide east to west. It was purchased from an estate several decades ago and is in original condition. You can see it is early Art Deco from the narrow thin prongs and thin simple bezel settings. Later rhinestone jewelry often had later cuts of stones and the settings were much more elaborate and bulky. It also has a long, very thin stick as you would expect from the 20s. The gold metal has a lot of age patina and age wear so it will need to be thoroughly cleaned and the very thin stick has metal wear to the color only. It is still functional and the large head is still strongly attached to the stick. Atop the head sits a very tiny glued in pearl which seems to be set and glued in its own silver colored metal mounting that has tiny 1920s millgrain work going around the edge. Great original antique Art Deco pin in glowing green for anyone who collects antique and vintage stick pins and hat pin collection. Or, clean, restore, repurpose etc...

Antique Art Deco Flapper Era Hand Painted Miniature Watercolor Lady Painting Bronze and Hanging Pendant and Stand Up Pendant Frame 1930s
** Any white lines, marks, blotches etc.. you may see in photos are from lighting. The painting is perfect and retains all of its original 1930s color. This is a lovely Art Deco flapper with bobbed hair, head cap and sheer clothing. She is beautifully hand painted with watercolors on proper hot-pressed smooth watercolor paper of the same era. She is also mounted properly with her original brown paper and matting. Additionally, the back closure is the original brown velvet with its original matching velvet easel back stand. The top of the frame holds a metal pendant bail for hanging. Both the pendant and the bail look like solid bronze. There are also extremely tiny nails drilled into the top, bottom and sides to hold the back in place. The bottom back popped away from the 1 remaining nail and should be either re-nailed or glued in one corner to hold the painting, matting and backing in place. Other than this, it is in excellent condition overall. No stains or tears. No wearing down of color. No damage or repair. She was found in the estate of the original artist from New Rochelle, NY around 30 years ago and had been kept untouched in the estate for many decades prior to being sold by original owner's family. Size is 5" north to south from top of bail to bottom of frame by 3 1/4" wide east to west. The pendant bale is hinged so it can be tilted as needed. This is a beautiful hand painted miniature with an unusually nice solid metal pendant frame in original excellent condition for your collection. **This estate was located in the same neighborhood, a couple of blocks away from the Norman Rockwell house. It was known to be an areaof exclusive homes for artists and writers and Thomas Paine Cottage museum.185.00

REF GOOGLE: In the mid-1700s, the sterling silver standard, meaning 92.5% pure silver, was commonly recognized and served as a benchmark for quality in the American colonies, as per NY Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, NY. However, the term "sterling" itself might not have appeared on American-made silver during the Colonial period, possibly due to restrictions from the Crown. Instead of the term "sterling," silversmiths often used their individual maker's mark as a guarantee of quality and purity. It was generally understood that this standard for silver content in the colonies was aligned with the English sterling standard, Reference: Go to Smithsonian Libraries and Archives A list of early American silversmiths and their marks. Please see page 98 of Smithsonian early American Silversmiths for this card case'shallmark and maker mark.
