The silver is also in excellent condition, No damage or tears or dents or dings or deep scratches to the silver. The marking "Mexico Silver" (or "Silver Made in Mexico") was primarily used from the 1920s through the mid-1940s (pre-dating the 1948 government eagle assay stamps).Timeline and Purity Details1920s–1940s ("Mexico Silver"): Simple stamps denoting origin and high silver content were widely used by Mexican silversmiths during the revival of the silver craft (championed by figures like William Spratling and Frederick Davis).Silver Quality: While the text didn't rigidly enforce the international ".925" stamp yet, pieces bearing this mark commonly met or exceeded sterling standards, frequently featuring purities of .925, .940, .960, or even .980.Shift in 1948: The Mexican government introduced the official Eagle Mark system in 1948 to standardize quality control and authenticate silver purity, largely replacing these simple text-only origin stamps.

Art Deco Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver Stamp Holder Dispensary Desk Accessory Never Monogrammed
This is a vintage Art Deco Tiffany & Co sterling silver desk accessory stamp holder dispensary which holds a roll of stamps and a slot on the side so you can manually dispense the stamps as needed. It is marked Tiffany & Co and also marked with an old full word black letter sterling mark which was commonly used in the Art Deco and early mid century periods. It has a highly detailed mix of linear engraving and textured geometric circular patterns on the top and side. There are multiple concentric circles that draw you toward the smooth center which was never monogrammed. Between the concentric ring there is a repetitive pattern resembling tiny diamond cut characteristic of engine turned metalwork which created a textured reflective surface. The outer edge of the lid and the bands wrapping around the cylinder body have a tight beaded or dotted pattern. The cylindrical is decorated with fine, closely spaced parallel lines to give the metal a satin style finish. Size is 2" across in diameter by 1 1/4" tall. Weight is 39.1 grams. Overall condition is excellent, gently used. Never altered or repaired. All original. Never monogrammed. No dents or dings. No tearls or deep scratches. Vintage Sterling Silver Siam Thai Niello Dancer Lady’s Compact no mirror 72.5gr scrap needs lock repair
This is a vintage late Art Deco to early mid century sterling silver lady's compact. It is marked Hand Made in Siam, Sterling, Thainakon. Nice and weighty solid sterling silver. The inside is missing its mirror but the separate bezel for the side that holds powder is intact. Weight is 72.5 grams. The locking latch is present and when pressed down you can hear the loud locking snap but it doesn't stay locked once you release the latch. So, it will need a latch adjustment and a small mirror glued into on side. The niello work is all intact; it medium matte finish black; not a shiny black, more like a raw black granite or slate black. The dancer are beautifully etched into the sterling on both sides and you can see that they were done by an experienced hand. Both are very intricately detailed and well crafted. As of today the scrap sterling silver price is just about $2/gram. This is a lovely older vintage handmade compact for your vintage and antique lady's accessories collection or vanity display.

Antique 1900-1910 Edwardian Art Nouveau Czech Amethyst Molded Glass Stickpin Hatpin Jabot Stick Pin
Large antique Edwardian Art Nouveau molded amethyst Bohemian Czech glass large button style stickpin with a rose cut black jet glass center. Size is 3 5/8" tall from top of amethyst glass head down to pin point. The glass head measures just about 1 1/2" across in diameter. The molded amethyst glass has an intricate, multi-layered geometric pattern, giving it a textured look. It also has delicate bead accents around the border and faux-pierced details around the center stone in order to mimicking the fine metal work of the Edwardian era. The center holds a round rose cut black jet glass paste stone indicative of its age and also made of original Czech art glass. The pin itself is hand crafted with the rod being deeply set into the head; if you hold it to the light you can see that the rod goes very deep into the glass. The rod has a little sway but does not come out? Possibly intended by the maker so it could be used on thick overcoat without any chance of breaking the rod off the amethyst glass. Or it has come a little loose over the years. When the rod is pulled, it is still very strongly attached. You can see the rod was originally set into the glass with jeweler's bench cement which was made primarily from natural flake shellac. This cement was prevalent among jewelers during the Edwardian era as it would strongly hold the item and waterproof it at the same time and it is still used today. It is all original and has not been altered or modified. The glass head is in excellent overall condition. No gauges, cracks, chips or breaks. The metal rod is also excellent but has some age wear. This is a gorgeous example of early Czech art glass for your antique jewelry and stickpin, hat pin, jabot collection.
