Vintage Old Art Deco Sterling Silver Men’s Crucifix Pendant or for Rosary Women’s Christian Catholic Religious
This is a vintage 1940s Art Deco sterling silver trefoil crucifix pendant. It is strong, thick and bold looking. It is also highly detailed whereas you can even see the individual ribs in the Christ figure. It has its original old block letter full word sterling marking and is also tested and guaranteed to be solid sterling silver. Some of the marking is worn down but you can clearly distinguish it as a sterling mark. It is thick and solid with an older strong, durable look. Weight is 12 grams. Size is 2″ tall by 1 5/8″ wide across. This cross has that old look and feel that you only find on antique and early vintage silver jewelry. It has not been polished out in many decades. The bail is hand applied to the crucifix which may indicate an old, old repair or original hand application. It is strong and secure. Overall condition is very excellent. No cracks or tears, no dents or dings. Never monogrammed or inscribed. Thick and large enough for men, women or for a rosary this is a lovely vintage crucifix for your collection.
Vintage Mid Century Studio Made Handwrought Brutalist Sterling Silver Nails Men’s Cross Pendant
Lovely 1960s studio made of hand wrought sterling silver nails this is a large, showy mid century brutalist, men's crucifix cross pendant. It has an old worn block letter full word sterling marking which you can see in the last photo so you can easily date this as pre 1970s. It is also tested and guaranteed to be solid sterling silver. Weight is 14.9 grams. Excellent Condition overall. No damage or repair. All original. Never altered. It is thick and very well-made. Size is just about 2 3/4″ North to South including the fixed bale that is an internal part of the design. Width is 1 7/8″ wide across the arms. Just add a chain and you will have a most unusual vintage brutalist era statement necklace. The bale is 6mm wide so you can also use a small beaded necklace rather than a chain if you like.

Vintage Handmade Native American Zuni Sterling Silver 2 Sided Cross Pendant Turquoise Red Coral
This is a vintage Native American Zuni double sided sterling silver dangling cross pendant with natural red coral on one side and natural turquoise gemstones on the other. It is well made by hand, is not marked and has been jeweler tested and is guaranteed to be solid sterling silver....not plated. You can see how the 2 separate sides were joined together by hand with a slab of sterling silver in the center and that the bail was affixed to the top by hand. One side has hand cut and bezel set turquoise cabochon stones and the other side has hand cut and bezel set natural red coral stones. Size is 1 3/4″ tall north to south with the bail by 1 1/8″ wide across east to west. Overall condition is very good. Vintage Sterling Silver Fancy Hand Diamond Cut Christian Catholic Cross Pendant Trefoil Religious
This is a lovely vintage 1970s fancy 925 sterling silver metal cross pendant with lots of hand cut diamond cut work, fancy pebbled texturing, and round circular hand cut silver discs in the center and on center end of each arm giving it a fancy trefoil look. It is lightly marked 925 on top of the bail and quite visible once you find it. It has also been jeweler tested and is Guaranteed solid sterling silver...not plated. Please see the last photo for marking. It also has a very large, wide bail so it could float on a thick neck chain or it was possibly originally used on a rosary and then converted with this large bail. Either way it looks very pretty. If you look closely at the photos you can see the hand cut circles and all of the diamond cut work throughout lending it somewhat of a sparkly look. Size is 2 1/8" tall north to south by 1 3/16" wide across east to west. It has some age patina in the grooves on the back that has not been polished out. Overall condition is excellent. No damage or repair. All original. Very well kept all these years. The 1950s poodle skirt was a ‘50s favorite, often in white, standing at the hem of the skirt, complete with a curly embroidered or sequin leash. Even more decorations came in the form of the large applique cats, squirrels, guitars, or catchy phrases like “See You Later Alligator.” The poodle skirt became a lasting icon of the 1950s especially for teenagers but women wore them too with more mature appliques such as the Eiffel tower, telephone, and martinis.ORIGIN:
You have heard of Poodle skirts and their association with 1950’s fashion, but you may not know how they originated or the profound influence they have had on women’s fashions since that time. The phenomenon started in 1947 when 25-year-old Juli Charlot needed a skirt to wear to a holiday party in Los Angeles. Because she couldn’t sew, she cut a big circle of felt with a hole in the middle to fit her waist and appliquéd Christmas trees to it. Felt was the only material available that was wide enough to cut a complete circle skirt without any seams. The skirt was a huge hit. A week after the party she sold the skirt to raise money to go to design school and learn how to sew. Eventually as demand for her skirts grew, she opened her own factory. Although many appliqué designs were used on the skirts, it was the elegant, well groomed Poodle with a swirly leash that proved to be the most popular. In fact circular skirts with other designs were often called Poodle skirts. The full skirt was a welcome change from the straight or pleated below the knee skirts that were worn by young girls and women of the day. Poodle skirts were worn with flirty petticoats and a wide cinch belt. The skirt looked cute on young girls, but pretty silly on their mothers and grandmothers. In other words Poodle skirts were one of the first “too young for you” fashions. As it is an older medal pendant it is very detailed, strong and well-made.Size is 1 1/8″ tall with the bail by 13/16″ across the wider bottom. Excellent condition overall. No damage or repair. It is also in original condition with aged patina. Just add any chain and you will have a lovely necklace for your antique and vintage religious jewelry collection. OR, use as a fob charm on a watch chain.
