It is hand cut and the edge is hand beveled. The shell is well carved with beautiful detail.....all good. The sterling silver has no tears, deep scratches, dents or dings. It has a good clean FANCY casting with nice thick sterling silver. Good quality workmanship. All marcasites are set evenly and properly. Size is 15/16" by 3/4". Vintage Taxco Mexican Sterling Silver Modernist Kitten Cat Pin
This is a vintage 1970s to early 1980s Taxco, Mexican Sterling Silver kitten or cat pin with black enameling and strong, stylized, modernist design. It is marked Mexico, 925 TM-266 whereby the 925 indicates sterling silver quality and the T indicates Taxco origin and 266 represents the particular silversmith designer for this pin. Size is 1 1/2″ tall North to South by 1 1/16″ wide across the center. As you would expect from Mexican silver makers, it is very strong, solid, and well made of thick “can't bend it” sterling silver. Weight is heavy at 10.7 grams. Condition is excellent. No dents or dings. No tears or deep scratches. Any age wear is surface scratches only that do not detract and are not eye obvious when the pin is worn on clothing. Can be jeweler polished out but not necessary as it looks okay the way it is. XL Vintage Taxco Mexican Sterling Silver 27m Slab Onyx Pin Chunky 1970s to 1980s It is marked TC-91 withe the T to indicate Taxco origin and the C to indicate the state in which it was made. The 91 is the number of the maker/artist that is assigned by the Mexican Government. It is also marked Mexico, 925 for Sterling Silver quality and FTC which are the initials of the maker. Additionally, it is jeweler tested and Guaranteed solid sterling silver. Size is 2 1/8" North to South by 1 1/8" East to West by 3/8" deep/thickness. Weight is heavy at 21.3 grams. The sterling silver is thick and solid. The pin holds a huge showy 27m onyx slab cut onyx cabochon stone that is hand set into a large, deep bezel. The back has a very small ding on the top edge that is not eye noticeable when it is worn as it is on the back. Other than this it is in excellent condition. Looks great and very eye catchy when shown on a lapel and would also be a beautiful if repurposed into a necklace centerpiece given its size and chunkiness. This is a lovely well made vintage statement piece for your jewelry collection.

Very Large Mexican Sterling Silver Mosaic Lapis Malachite Donkey Lapel Pin
This is an extra large, thick, vintage, handmade, Mexican Sterling Silver mosaic pin inlaid with malachite and sodalite/lapis stone. It is marked Mexico, N-44, 925. Size is extra large and measures 2 9/16″ long by 1 5/8″ wide north south on the cactus and 1 1/4″ wide north south on the donkey. Weight is Heavy at 17gr. The hand crafting is lovely with a very pretty mix of stones. From the back one can see that the sterling is hand wrought. All of the mosaic work is full and smooth with a thickly applied laminate finish so that all of the mosaic will always stay intact. If you look at the photos you can see the soldering joints near the bottom of the prongs for the red glass stone and in the same places in the back. All of the stones are bright, clear, deeply colored. No cracks, chips, nicks, flakes, or abrasions. All good stones. The sterling would look great with a professional jeweler polish. Gorgeous hard to find Victorian 14k Gold Carved Stars Banded Agate Stickpin. From an estate and in completely original condition. Somewhere along the way it was jeweler marked 14K; it is also tested and guaranteed to be solid 14K gold both head AND stick. Original, authentic mid 1800s and beautifully hand made.
The carved banded agate stone is stunning. It has a deeply carved flower star in the black layer of the banding amid a more sharply defined carved star in the white layer of the banding. Accenting the central carving is the grayish black level of banding which is carved with tiny stars around the perimeter. This agate was then carefully housed in a lovely 14K gold bezel with a hand twisted and wrapped 14K gold frame. Absolutely gorgeous antique Victorian hand crafting and use of fine quality materials that you no longer see today.
Other than a very small age/use fingernail crease on the upper back and a small age bend in the stick it is in excellent condition. Size is 2 1/2″ tall North to South. The head is 5/8″ by 1/2″. This is an impressive and hard to find carved agate for your Victorian gold stickpin jewelry collection.

Weight is 2.6 grams. The diamond is approximately .08 carat, bright, sparkly and highly noticeable. Pin size is just about 1 1/4″ long. The knot itself is 1/2″. Construction: Goldsmith Handmade. Very well made as it moves freely with good bounce so it will not break as you add and remove watches or fobs. The clasp is strong and secure. It does not come off once it is closed in place. Additionally, the curves on the gold edges are also extremely well made. They wont easily bend.
