Lovely vintage, 1960s, Wallace Sterling Silver fancy heart shaped serving dish. It is in the well-known and popular Grand Baroque pattern which was first created in 1941 by William S. Warren to celebrate the Grand Baroque period. It is very ornate with a fancy scroll, bead and floral design and showy open work throughout. It is marked with original Wallace hallmarks along with full word Sterling and Wallace. It is also numbered 4850-9. Size is 6 1/4″ north to south by 4 1/2″ east to west by 1 1/4″ deep. Never monogrammed or inscribed it came from a 1960s estate where is was kept in excellent overall condition. No dents or dings or deep scratches. All original. Never altered, repaired or modified. This is a beautiful older example of Grand Baroque hollowware for your formal dining table and/or vintage antique sterling silver collection.
