No damage to the abalone. Sorry for any photo glare…In excellent condition this is a lovely vintage hand made abalone and enamel pendant pin signed Alpaca Silver. Only the better quality, eye of the abalone, shell was used to make this item. It is very colorful. The bail is 5mm so it can also be used as an enhancer with small beads. Excellent Condition. No missing or worn enamel. No missing abalone. Good locking clasp. Good 5mm bail. One very tiny age indent at the edge. Otherwise, perfect. Size is 1 7/8″ East to West by 1 3/16″ wide North to South. This is a beautiful showy hand made pendant pin for your vintage jewelry collection.

This is an amazing 1980s-90s Laurence Devries heavy hand made sterling silver and 14K gold pendant. The 2 hand applied caps on top are solid 14K yellow gold. Marked Devries, Sterling, 14K, and other maker hallmarks. Size is 3" long by 1" wide across the heart. Thickness is 1/4", very very thick. Weight is very heavy at 41.6 grams. It has one tiny sliver of a rough spot at the edge of the material where it meets the bezel on the upper right shoulder of the heart. Other than this the condition is excellent, gently used. This is a beautiful vintage 1960s large tall fancy solid sterling silver sitting up poodle charm or pendant. Marked Sterling. Size is 1 3/16" tall by almost 1/2" wide across the center of the body. It is very well made of 1 chunk of solid sterling silver. It also very fancy and highly detailed. Beautiful condition. No damage. No tears, dents, or deep scratches to the sterling. The 1950s poodle skirt was a ‘50s favorite, often in white, standing at the hem of the skirt, complete with a curly embroidered or sequin leash. Even more decorations came in the form of the large applique cats, squirrels, guitars, or catchy phrases like “See You Later Alligator.” The poodle skirt became a lasting icon of the 1950s especially for teenagers but women wore them too with more mature appliques such as the Eiffel tower, telephone, and martinis.ORIGIN:
You have heard of Poodle skirts and their association with 1950’s fashion, but you may not know how they originated or the profound influence they have had on women’s fashions since that time. The phenomenon started in 1947 when 25-year-old Juli Charlot needed a skirt to wear to a holiday party in Los Angeles. Because she couldn’t sew, she cut a big circle of felt with a hole in the middle to fit her waist and appliquéd Christmas trees to it. Felt was the only material available that was wide enough to cut a complete circle skirt without any seams. The skirt was a huge hit. A week after the party she sold the skirt to raise money to go to design school and learn how to sew. Eventually as demand for her skirts grew, she opened her own factory. Although she continued to get orders, money was tight. Then a New York designer visited her factory, found her in tears, and invested enough money for the business to take off.TYPES:
Although many appliqué designs were used on the skirts, it was the elegant, well groomed Poodle with a swirly leash that proved to be the most popular. In fact circular skirts with other designs were often called Poodle skirts. The full skirt was a welcome change from the straight or pleated below the knee skirts that were worn by young girls and women of the day. Poodle skirts were worn with flirty petticoats and a wide cinch belt. The skirt looked cute on young girls, but pretty silly on their mothers and grandmothers. In other words Poodle skirts were one of the first “too young for you” fashions. From that time on, seeing a youth market with money to spend, many designers worked exclusively on clothing geared to the young.References:

Vintage 1976 Bicentennial Sterling Silver Big Heavy Coin Pendant
This is a large fancy bezeled sterling silver bicentennial coin pendant made by Rand Paseka of NY. Marked Rand Paseka on the bale and sterling on the frame. It is also marked with a R,P maker hallmark. The coin is bezel and prong set. The frame is thick, solid (can't bend it) sterling silver. It has fine quality workmanship. The coin is crisp and clear with Thomas Jefferson on the front and the Declaration of Independence on the back. Size is 2 1/8" across. Weight is HEAVY at 42.1 grams. Condition is excellent. This is a beautifully detailed big bicentennial pendant for your coin jewelry collection!
Huge Vintage Hand Wrought Orb Sterling Silver Banded Agate Pendant Pin
At almost 4" tall this is a huge, substantial, vintage 1960s mid century modernist hand wrought sterling silver and banded agate ORB dangle pendant or long pin. Marked ORB, Sterling. It has very fine quality hand crafting. actual size is 3 3/4" North to South from top of bale to bottom by 2 1/8" across East to West. Weight is HEAVY 29.4 grams. It has some age wear, light surface scratches. Other than this the condition is excellent, sorry for the dust in the photos. No dents. dings, chips, flakes, cracks or repair. It has a big thick over-sized bale for a large 1/4" thick chain, beads, pearls etc....This is a very showy mid century statement pendant for your collection.
