Big Chunky 1950s Early Hard Plastic Extra Wide Bangle Bracelet - This is a very large thick chunky 1950s-60s late Art Deco Mid Century black bangle bracelet; looks and feels like old heavy bakelite but does not have the distinct odor of bakelite. Old, original and from an estate of a jewelry manufacturer. It has deep recesses that are matte finished, never polished out. Condition is excellent having very few minor scuffs and 1 tiny pinpoint ding. Thickness is almost 5/16". Diameter across the inside opening is 2 1/2". The inside circumference is almost 7 1/2" around. Pretty substantial and will fit most hand sizes.

Back then it was commonplace for jewelers to use natural semi precious gemstones in gold filled jewelry. This one is lovely. Size is medium 7 1/8″ long end to end. Width is petite at 1/4″. It is made with beautiful carved gemstone scarabs…..red carnelian, black onyx, chrysoprase, gold tiger's eye, blue stone, pink rose quartz etc….Better gold than photos show and Excellent Condition overall.Completely original. Never altered and no repair. Lovely addition for your vintage gemstone jewelry collection and a good width for layering.

It is marked 1/20 12K GF, Elco on the small connecting link right before the end of the bracelet. Size is 7 5/8″ long by 1/4″ wide. Weight is 10.3 grams. As you know these old gold filled chain link bracelets are versatile, strong and well made. They look and feel like solid solid gold for many decades and don't wear down.
