Capri brooches (and costume jewelry) are popular with collectors and are considered a “godsend” for those who appreciate high-quality, vintage pieces. Known for their original designs, excellent craftsmanship, and unique color combinations, Capri pieces are actively sought after by collectors of 1950s-1970s costume jewelry.

Key Reasons for Their Popularity:

Rarity: Capri Jewelry, Inc. (founded by Sol Smith in 1952 in New York) was active only until 1977 and produced a limited number of collections, making their pieces harder to find and more desirable.
Distinctive Style: Capri is noted for its high-quality construction, often featuring unique, artistic designs, including modernist, floral, and figural themes. Popular motifs include textured gold-tone metals, vibrant enamel, faux turquoise cabochons, and rhinestones.
