Vintage KE Palmberg Alton Sterling Silver Amethyst Ring Adj Swedish Modern Mid Century – A stunning vintage 1960s-1970s late mid century vintage Scandinavian Swedish Modern sterling silver ring with a large natural amethyst rising high in the center. Very strong Swedish modern design. It is marked ALTON with Swedish sterling silver hallmarks and maker hallmarks. The top amethyst has a very small edge flake which you can see in the magnified photos. The amethyst stone is faceted on the sides only. The top is like a flat slab. Size of stone is 20mm across facet to facet by 3/8″ tall. Ring size is adjustable 6 to 7s, possibly 8. Height of entire top is 3/4″ from top of stone down to finger line. The is a very, very tall ring with a super showy gemstone!! Other than the small edge flake it is in excellent condition. No dents or dings. Never altered or repaired. A gorgeous, why ring by a well-known Scandinavian Swedish designer for your vintage mid century jewelry collection! The large amethyst examples are not easy to find!!
