Gorgeous pair of vintage 1970s – 1980s mid century heavy gold plated open hoop earrings with pierced posts and butterfly backs. These are large, heavy and showy. Beautiful bright, crisp, shiny gold condition. Size of each earring is 1 3/4″ north to south from top of post to bottom of hoop. Width is 1 5/8″ east to west across the center of each earring. The hoop itself is graduated from 2m to 8mm across by 2m graduating to 6m on the sides. They have a large thick curve all the way around and are very showy. They are 2/3 troy ounce and weight 20.1 grams. Each earrings is 1/3 troy ounce. They are quite chunky and bulbous. See photos. Overall condition is excellent. All original. There a very small minor wear mark inside each earring which doesn’t show at all when the earrings are worn on the ears. Other than this they are perfect with all of the thick heavy gold plating still being very, very bright and shiny.
