About this piece of Danecraft:
- Style: The necklace features an ornate openwork scroll and filigree panel design. Each rectangular link incorporates symmetrical, flowing curves and beaded border textures reminiscent of Art Deco and Victorian Revival styles.
- Structure: It is structured as a choker or short collar length necklace made of interlocking individual panels, completed by a traditional spring ring clasp.
- Material: True to vintage Danecraft standards, it is crafted from solid .925 sterling silver. The darkened areas within the cutouts are a deliberate antiqued patina (oxidation) meant to give the flat silver depth and highlight the fine scrollwork details.
- 1934–1945: Pieces were often marked with “CFo” (for Felch & Co.) or “Danecraft CFo” before Victor Primavera bought out James Felch.
- 1938: The Danecraft Trademark was officially registered (Registration No. 0363309).
- 1945–onward: Following the buyout, the company name changed to Danecraft, and items began featuring “Danecraft” stamps, often paired with “STERLING” or a cursive “D”
