Able to be used the way it is but being sold for parts, repair or restoration this is a lovely vintage 1980s sterling silver fixed bypass ring with amethyst glass pear shape stones and an oxidized finished top which originally held marcasites. 7-7.25. The inside is marked 925 for sterling silver quality. There is a scratch mark next to sterling mark which is Not a crack or tear in the silver. The silver is all good Guaranteed sollid sterling silver….not plated. The pear shaped amethysts are very soft pretty pinkish purple color. Size of top measures 5/8″ north to south. As the inside tops of the marcasites settings have a darkened finish along side bright shiny prongs that look like antique millgrain work it is very difficult to notice that there were originally marcasites in the oxidized squares when it is worn on the finger unlike the enlarged photos which make the missing stones obvious. Fix, repair, restore or use as is this is a great winter project for anyone who is able to restore antique and vintage jewelry. Or upcycle it with with tiny CZs.
