Lovely pair of vintage 1980s signed NF for Chapel-Zenray of Texas and 925 for sterling silver quality fine quality ornate Edwardian revival filigree pierced post earrings. They are hand cut, hand chiseled and hand cast. Just the hanging dangles measure 2 1/8″. Each full earring measures 2 1/2″ north to south and the fronts are beautifully cut and decorated by hand with Edwardian filigree, flourishes, floral components, gadrooned edges etc…. They also have a sharply cut filigree, some intricate millgrain work, and well raised graduated leaves along with a row of applied silver balls on the bottom edges alternating with rows of raised silver balls. The small tops have matching faceted fluers de lis. The sterling silver is thicker than antique Edwardian gold jewelry thereby lending the sterling silver chiseling a good amount of sparkle. This is a very, very “busy” pair of highly noticeable vintage earrings. Closures are sterling silver butterfly backs. Overall condition of both earrings is excellent. No damage or repair. No dents or dings. No tears or gauges. No pitting. All original. Never altered or repaired. Large and well made this is a beautiful, showy pair of showy statement earrings for your fine vintage jewelry collection. Weight is 11.4gr.
