This is a beautifully decorated vintage Scandinavian gold overlay sterling silver tea caddy or sugar serving spoon of a fishing village in Bergen, Norway made by Theodor Olsens Eftf. The detailed handle has a white enamel fishing village with houses,Viking ship, and a woman purchasing fish with a fisherman. From an estate and in excellent condition having only some light surface age wear scratches that could be polished out. All gold intact. All enamel intact. No dents or deep scratches or repair. Never monogrammed or inscribed. Size is 5 1/8″ tall. Bowl is 1 9/16″ across. Weight is substantial at 33.6gr. This is a lovely, vintage Scandinavian tea caddy or sugar spoon for your mid century silver collection or formal dining table. It is very well made and quite novel.

Scandinavian Norway Bergen Sterling Silver Serving Tea Caddy Spoon.   This is a vintage Scandinavian Bergen, Norway sterling silver serving spoon with gold gilt, a short handle and a large, shallow, squared bowl. It is shaped similar to a tea caddy spoon. The back is marked 925S, sterling, and Norway with a center maker hallmark. See last photo which shows the markings. The handle has red and silvery white enamel work while the rest of the spoon is gold gilt. Size is 5″ tall North to South. Just the bowl is 1 5/8″ by 1 1/2″. It is very thick, solid, strong, and well made. Weight is heavy at 33.5 grams. It is from an estate and has some ordinary age wear. The gold gilt has some wear on the back of the bowl and there are some light surface scratches. Other than this, it is excellent. All of the enamel work is excellent. No dents or dings or bends. No damage or repair. This is a lovely vintage enameled spoon for your vintage mid century Scandinavian silver collection.
