Monet produced enameled and rhinestone Maltese cross brooches primarily from the 1950s through the 1990s, with notable, large, high-quality pieces frequently dating to the 1980s and 1990s. These, often featuring gold-tone metal, faux pearls, and vibrant enamel (like teal or burgundy), were characteristic of the brand’s bold, costume jewelry designs.

  • 1950s-60s: Early enamel Maltese cross designs.
  • 1980s: Popular era for textured gold-tone and enameled Maltese crosses.
  • 1990s: Frequently produced “statement” pieces with rhinestones, faux pearls, and bold gold-tone metal.
