This is a very Large, Heavy, Vintage, Danish 830 silver serving spoon with a figural top of a reindeer, a hammered handle and an oversized bowl. It is hallmarked and maker marked 830S, Lo, NM, and numbered Nr 480. Size is 8.75″ tall North to South. Could be from the National Musset – Copenhagen. The bowl alone measures 3″ by 2 5/8″. Weight is HEAVY at 91/6 grams…….very thick, strong and well made. The open work reindeer top is also very ornate and elaborate having lattice type work above and below to encapsulate the reindeer which is quite fanciful. The back of the spoon was never monogrammed or inscribed. Other than general surface age scratching which could be jeweler polished out, it is in excellent condition. No dents or dings. No tear or repair. No deep gauges or deep scratches. This is a gorgeous, large, heavy, Danish Silver serving spoon addition for your vintage silver tableware collection. It is strong and very high quality!!
