Description
This is a lovely minimalist 1960s mid century modern Catholic Christ the Redeemer wall crucifix made of brass with strong minimalist geometric design. The Christ figure is robed and the front of his body is pebbled while the arms have a noticeable Art Deco geometric deeply recessed linear pattern on the arms. Size is 10 1/4″ north to south by 5″ east to west across the arms by 1″ deep. The cross itself is very minimalist measuring 3/16″ square. It is very, very strong. It came from an estate years ago and has a huge amount of overall age patina to the point that the back of the Christ figure looks black. The brass cross itself is still visibly brass color. The Christ figure has never been polished out. Yet, you can see that it has good detail. This is a lovely early to mid Art Deco very well made Christ the Redeemer wall hanging crucifix for your vintage and antique Catholic religious collection.
