This is a lovely Art Deco hand carved natural shell cameo pendant or pin in solid 800 Fine Italian silver with marcasites. Marked 800. Tested and Guaranteed to be solid 800 silver…..Not plated. Size is 1 7/16″ North to South including the bale by 7/8″ wide across East to West. She is beautifully made and deeply carved with fine details. The frame has all of its original faceted marcasites and very, very tiny cut work on the edge of the bezel. No tears or dents or deep scratches. No cracks or chips. Excellent Condition and directly from an estate so it has not been polished out. Still nice and crisp with fine detail. This is a beautiful Art Deco statement cameo for your collection to use as a pin or necklace pendant.

Beautiful fancy vintage 14K yellow gold and diamond left facing hand carved shell cameo pendant pin. Thoroughly acid tested and guaranteed to be solid 14K yellow gold. She has a very thick solid ornate 14K gold frame and weighs 9.9 grams. There is also a raised, prong set, old single cut .08 carat diamond. Size is 1 9/16" by 1 3/16" or 40mm by 31mm. The 14K frame is substantial, thick, and very well-made. The shell cameo is light and the bulk of the weight is the 14K gold. As you can see she is beautifully carved and highly detailed with a noticeable intaglio eye, small upturned nose, well pronouned lips and deeply carved curled hair. There is also has a hidden bale on the back to wear as a necklace.
Heavy Laurence De Vries 14k Gold And Sterling Silver 41.6g 3″ Long Pendant
This is an amazing 1980s-90s Laurence Devries heavy hand made sterling silver and 14K gold pendant. The 2 hand applied caps on top are solid 14K yellow gold. Marked Devries, Sterling, 14K, and other maker hallmarks. Size is 3" long by 1" wide across the heart. Thickness is 1/4", very very thick. Weight is very heavy at 41.6 grams. It has one tiny sliver of a rough spot at the edge of the material where it meets the bezel on the upper right shoulder of the heart. Other than this the condition is excellent, gently used. No dents. No deep scratches, tears or gauges. No repair. This is an exceptional, amazing pendant by a master designer who was recognized by leading galleries in NYin 1975 for his incredible talent, skills and crafting. Just add a chain and you will have a most unusual hand made necklace for your vintage designer jewelry collection.

The 1950s poodle skirt was a ‘50s favorite, often in white, standing at the hem of the skirt, complete with a curly embroidered or sequin leash. You have heard of Poodle skirts and their association with 1950’s fashion, but you may not know how they originated or the profound influence they have had on women’s fashions since that time. The phenomenon started in 1947 when 25-year-old Juli Charlot needed a skirt to wear to a holiday party in Los Angeles. Because she couldn’t sew, she cut a big circle of felt with a hole in the middle to fit her waist and appliquéd Christmas trees to it. Felt was the only material available that was wide enough to cut a complete circle skirt without any seams. The skirt was a huge hit. A week after the party she sold the skirt to raise money to go to design school and learn how to sew. Eventually as demand for her skirts grew, she opened her own factory. Although she continued to get orders, money was tight. Then a New York designer visited her factory, found her in tears, and invested enough money for the business to take off.TYPES:
Although many appliqué designs were used on the skirts, it was the elegant, well groomed Poodle with a swirly leash that proved to be the most popular. In fact circular skirts with other designs were often called Poodle skirts. The full skirt was a welcome change from the straight or pleated below the knee skirts that were worn by young girls and women of the day. Poodle skirts were worn with flirty petticoats and a wide cinch belt. The skirt looked cute on young girls, but pretty silly on their mothers and grandmothers. In other words Poodle skirts were one of the first “too young for you” fashions. From that time on, seeing a youth market with money to spend, many designers worked exclusively on clothing geared to the young.References:

Antique Art Deco Sterling Silver Prayer Medal Pendant Christian Catholic
From an estate from many years ago this is a 1940s to 1950s late Art Deco sterling silver Christian/Catholic prayer pendant medal/dangle for a necklace chain. Marked sterling and Guaranteed solid sterling silver....Not plated or filled. The front reads: “Bear Ye One Another's Burdens.” The back has an old solder mark which could be polished by a jeweler but not necessary. The top loop is bent over, very tiny and out of shape. This loop will only hold a very small ring and thin chain. The front is still crisp and excellent. Size is 1 18″ tall by 5/8″ wide. This is a lovely prayer pendant charm for your antique and vintage religious jewelry collection.
