Antique Sterling Silver Floral Handbag Money Purse Buttercup Magnolia – This is a lovely antique turn of the century to 1920 very early Art Deco hard case solid sterling silver handbag with dramatic raised floral decoration of buttercup and magnolia. It is marked STERLING (old block letter marking) and guaranteed to be solid sterling silver. Size is 3 1/2″ tall north to south by 2 1/2″ wide across east to west. Depth is 5/16″ side to side with the bag closed. Chain is 13 1/4″ long. Weight is 79.5 grams. The front has a very fancy script monogram that looks like KGS. The back is exactly the same as the front with the same floral decoration but no monogram. It has its original sterling antique curb link chain. From an estate and in original, excellent condition. Any age wear is minor light surface scratching which could be polished out but not necessary. Looks fine the way it is. No dents or dings. The locking clasp is strong and works securely. Stays locked in place and won’t open unless you press the tab. It’s pretty clean but has not been freshly polished out for brightness. There are no tears, gauges, deep scratches or other damage. Completely original. Never altered or modified in any way. This is a gorgeous antique sterling silver ladies accessory for your antique and vintage clothing or accessories collection.
