Description
This is a completely original, authentic 1920s, antique Art Deco sapphire or sapphire paste bracelet with very fancy pierced filigree open work amid fine millgrained edges, geometric squares and fancy patterns with ornate flourishes. It has its original box tongue clasp intact and working well. The clasp securely holds the bracelet closed. All of the stones are deep glowing blue color and bezel set both front and back. The backs are open for light to pass through; not foil back rhinestones. The box linkage is very intricate and well made. The last link is marked sterling; old full word block letter sterling mark. Besides being marked it is also tested and guaranteed solid sterling silver and original, genuine, authentic 1920s to 1930s Art Deco…..Not plated over white metal or brass like the newer mass produced reproductions you see all over the internet from many different nations. Those modern reproductions are made of brand new silver plate. This is what you are told if you provide Ai with an image of any of those new reproduction bracelets. BUT if you give the image of this estate bracelet to AI you are told that it is an original, authentic, period piece. Size is a little over 7″ long end to end by 3/8″ wide across the top with a depth from front to back of 1/8″. Overall condition is excellent. All original, Never altered, modified or repaired. No damage. No dents or dings or noticeable scratches. The pattern is still crisp, clear, strong and beautiful all the way around. Not worn down. The stones are also clean, crisp and clear with good transparency when held to light. From the original owner’s estate many decades ago this is a gorgeous bracelet for your antique fine jewelry collection.
