Antique 1904 Sterling Silver Margh Aries Spoon English Cornish Mark

This is an antique zodiac Gorham Black Starr and Frost 1904 sterling silver name table spoon – Margh; this is the UK English Cornish name for Mark. It is marked and guaranteed to be solid sterling silver…..Not plated. It also has an M makers hallmark along with early Gorham hallmarks. The handle is beautifully decorated in relief with a raised Aries, a detailed bull, Aries symbol, an Art Nouveau scroll shell design, and a ball end top. There is also some raised flora in the bowl and an engraved 21st toward the center of the handle. Likely presented to Margh for a 21st birthday in 1904 or Margh’s birthday fell on the 21st of the month. It is thick, chunky, strong and very well made. Nice and solid. Other than age scratches that can be polished out it is in excellent condition. No dents, dings, tears, gauges or damage. Size is just about 6″ long. Weight is HEAVY at 39 grams. This is a lovely antique presentation gift for anyone named Margh or Mark!
