Gorgeous vintage 30″ long matinee length 1960s Ercole Moretti Italian Millefiori Murano handmade art glass necklace in excellent condition. It is very, very well made with double floss that is still strong, old gold filled/plated connector beads and a solid brass barrel clasp. Size is 30″ long and heavy. Weight is 98.9 grams. The beads graduate from 7mm to 15mm and are made of separate sections that are enameled and fused by hand. You can feel the individually fused section with your fingernail so you know the decoration is individually hand applied and not just ordinary painted beads. You can also see the well-known and recognizable Moretti designs particularly on the largest oval football shaped bead in the center as well as on the other beads. Beautiful deep rich color with some type of outburst surrounding the millefiori on each hand fused section on every bead. Made by a foremost maker of Italian millefiori Murano glass since 1911 this is a gorgeous addition for your vintage art glass statement jewelry collection.
