In excellent condition this is a stunning 1960s 14k Gold Garnet Slide Tassel Necklace 37.4g with black enameling. Marked 14K and has has a 1967 patent marking. Size is 32″ long and width of chaining is 3/16″. It is chunky, substantial and very well made with beautiful high quality workmanship. The slide is tight and securely set on the chain. As you move it to the desired length it grasps the chain and stays in place securely. The centerpiece is 1″ across, has 3.28 carats and natural mined garnets, black enamel work, and a deep Florentined finish in the gold behind the garnet. The stones are better pyrope deep rich red Bohemian color garnets. Port Wine color and sparkly. The end tassels are 1″ long, very dangly and also showy. Weight is 37.4 grams. This is a highly impressive vintage statement necklace in solid 14K gold with gorgeous gemstones for your collection.
