1930 Art Deco 18k White Gold Diamond Sapphire Ring –

This is a stunning 1930 Art Deco 18k White Gold Diamond Sapphire Ring with fancy filigree open work, carved rosettes, high quality stones and fancy cut work on of the edges. It is hallmarked with a star in a hexagonal punch mark and also marked 18K. Jeweler tested and guaranteed to be solid 18K white gold. Total carat weight is .52 carat. The top holds a gorgeous .42 carat, beautiful, clean and eye clear, SI1/2, showy, vintage brilliant cut diamond with near colorless G/H/I color. One facet at the bottom near the culet is cut poorly or this would be a more exclusive stone. Very, very lively and energetic even without lighting. The bottom of the band is thick on the North to South side but thin across on the East to West long side – the way they made them back then so you know it is old and original. It is in excellent condition, all original and not worn down. The front and back of the mounting have fancy hand pierced open work around the delicately carved rosettes. The top bezel and sides and have tiny intricate millgrain and tiny fancy cutwork on the edges. There is also some carved work on the shank. Ring size is 6. Size of top is 5/16″ North to South by 1/2″ East to West. Height is over 1/8″ tall above the finger line. Weight is 1.9 grams. One of the small sapphire accents has a tiny flake that is only seen with magnification; not eye visible at all. Other than this the condition is perfect and recently polished. No damage or repair to the diamond or the gold. This is an impeccable diamond ring for your antique and vintage jewelry collection.
