- The Designer: The signature Alan maker’s mark is most commonly found on these highly kinetic, oversized pieces. They feature dangling tails, jointed bodies, and swinging, copper-colored dangle eyes. [1, 2, 3]
- Metal and Finish: While often plated in shiny or textured gold-tone, they frequently appeared in silver/pewter-colored base metals, allowing the copper eyes to pop as a contrasting element. [1, 2]
- Articulated Movement: The defining characteristic of these lions is their ability to shift; both the head/eyes and the tail sway loosely on jump rings when worn. [1, 2]
