Vintage Green Moss Agate Hinged Bale Pendant Pin - Lovely vintage 1960s to 1970s moss agate stone pendant pin in silver. Very well made with hinged bale and a strong locking clasp. Size is 1 1/8" tall north to south by 13/16" east to west. Overall condition is excellent, very gently used. The agate itself is 30mm by 18mm. No cracks or chips. No dents or dings. It wasn't ever altered or modified. All original. Add any small chain and you will have a lovely, showy, green stone necklace. The back has a very shiny finish which leads me to be believe that it may have had a lacquer coating applied by the jeweler back in the 70s in order to prevent tarnishing. It also has a marking in the silver on the lower back near the rim which is likely a 925 marking for sterling quality.

1960s Danish Modern Large Rose Quartz Pin Brooch by mid century Scandinavian artist/designer NE Niels Erik From in sterling silver and rose quartz. As with much of From’s minimalist artistic work during this time frame the pin is concave bowl shaped which makes the large bezel set rose quartz stone visibly open yet deep set. Size is 1 3/4″ by 1 1/8″. The large 25mm by 14mm rose quartz stone is pale pink color with silvery rutilated lines inside the stone. Other than surface age scratches to the sterling it is in excellent condition. No cracks or chips or abrasions to the stone. No dents or dings. Never repaired or altered. All original condition. Art Deco Orchid Cornucopia 12K Gold Filled Sterling Silver Dangle Pin Chatelaine Pocket Watch - This is a late Art Deco to 1950s fancy cornucopia dangle pin with original hook in back for chatelaine or pocket watch. It is marked 1/20th 12K Gold Filled on Silver, DO, Sterling, Ernest Steiner and is in original, excellent condition. On one side is an orchid in full bloom white the other side has unbloomed orchids. The dangle on the bottom hook has a small circle upon which a lady's watch or other dangle can be attached. It is from an estate and is in excellent, very gently used condition. All of the gold filled in intact, no wear to the gold. No dents or dings. No repair of alteration. All original. Back has decades of aged patina that has not been polished out. This is a lovely addition for your antique and vintage jewelry collection. The back hook and the clasp are strong and secure.

Also, tested and guaranteed solid sterling.....not plated or filled. Size is 3 1/8" north to south including the top bail by 1 7/8" wide east to west across the outstretched arms. The top bail is quite large with a 10mm opening to accommodate a big, thick chain up to 8mm or 9mm and the crucifix will float freely. The father is adorned with a halo of sparkly rhinestones while the rest of the crucifix is well detail with deep recesses throughout. Condition is excellent, very gently used. All of the stones are well matched and still bright and clear. This is a lovely trinity crucifix for any occasion.

Vintage Florenza Pin Brooch Black Glass Cab Faux Pearls - Lovely brooch from an old jewelry store estate this is a gorgeous mid century Florenza black glass cabochon brooch with a strong antique finish to the heavy gold plating. The cabochon measures about 25mm long. As many collectors of these old Florenza and Goldette pieces know oftentimes it is either unmarked or the marking is more often underneath that thick gold finish. They were so heavily plated that oftentimes the markings were buried under the gold plating and heavy finish. Florenza was well known for its mid century cameo and art glass jewelry. This piece has very fancy filigree with tiny cut work on the gold edges. Very intricate and well detailed. Beautiful, perfect no wear condition. No wear to the antiqued gold finish. No filigree damage etc…. The faux pearls are 2mm and the faux emerald rhinestone accents are about 5mm each. Size of brooch north to south is 2 1/4″ north south by 2 1/8″ east west. Locking clasp is strong and works well. This is a lovely old addition of vintage mid century Florenza jewelry for your collection.

Spotting Florenza Jewelry
One of the easiest ways of spotting Florenza jewelry is to look for the trademark stamp on the jewelry piece. Most of the jewelry they produced has the word Florenza in script or print followed by the copyright mark. Some of the pieces will have the name Florenza in script and circled while other will have the name printed within a square or rectangle. The actual location of the mark depended on the size of the jewelry as well as its design.
However, Kasoff started using the mark only after he discovered that he could claim original design rights. This means that some of the original Kasoff designed jewelry are not marked with the Florenza name but are still prized by collectors because of the intricate and high quality design and finish.
Another reason why some of the Florenza jewelry pieces do not have the mark is because they are part of a set. In such cases, only the bracelet or necklace was stamped with the mark and not the earring or the stud. Apart from this, some of the jewelry produced by Kasoff was not marked for unknown reasons. Some collectors speculate that particular designs were purchased totally by a specific wholesaler who marketed it under their own brand name.
As a rule Florenza jewelry have most of the features described here. Most Florenza jewelry had stones set in Tiffany style.This means that there will be multiple faux prongs or clasps surrounding the stones. Moreover, the unsigned pieces should have the same texture, clasps, links, and clips as found in the signed pieces.
While many costume jewelry manufacturers used some of the same techniques, if you find an unsigned piece that closely resembles the signed Florenza lines, then it is more likely to be a Florenza original.
Antique Jewelry Looks
Florenza jewelry pieces are distinctive for their antique looks and resemble Victorian and Renaissance jewelry.
Florenza Jewelry was initially designed by Daniel Kasoff whose original name was Kosovsky. He started off his career in the garment industry and it was chance that gave him an entry into the costume jewelry business. He was out dining when someone stole his coat. Mr. Speier was also in the same restaurant and paid him for a replacement coat. Kasoff repaid Speier the amount as soon as he was able, and Speier, impressed with his honesty offered him a job in Speier Costume Jewelry Co.
There, Kasoff was able to gain experience in various aspects of the business and ten years later he branched out. He set up Kaywin Novelty New York in the 1930s along with Marty Weiner. He then set up his own costume jewelry company called The Dan Kasoff Company using savings he had accumulated by then.
Emphasis on Quality
Florenza jewelry placed emphasis on quality and fine finish. This is what made marks such as Estee Lauder and Revlon choose to use their products and designs.
Legacy Dan’s son Larry Kasoff continued to carry on the legacy of his father and the Florenza jewelry line was produced until 1981. Larry Kasoff was planning a new line of jewelry at that time when he was severely injured in an automobile accident. This forced him to shut shop and Florenza jewelry is no longer produced.

Mid Century Double Sided Mexican Sterling Silver Taxco Turquoise Inlay Shell Pendant - This is a heavy vintage mid century Mexican with an azurite malachite, shell, and turquoise inlay on one side and an azureite, turquoise and copper inlay on the other side set in sterling silver. It is marked Taxco 925 circle mark with ORC maker mark inside the circle and a left facing #3 eagle mark. Size is just about 1 1/2" across in diameter. With the bail it is just under 2" tall. Weight is 21.6 grams. Overall condition is excellent. No chips or flakes to the stone work. Never repaired or altered. Minimal age wear. This is a very well made, hand crafted, stone inlay dangle pendant for your mid century and/or Mexican silver jewelry collection. Both sides depict Aztec cultural design.

It is marked Hecho en Mexico, DF, 925 circle mark with maker MM in the center. It also has a right facing #1 eagle marking. It is beautifully crafted with crimped gemstone settings much in the style of MATL jewelry and has an oxidized background finish. It also had fancy notches around the perimeter as you would see in hand crafted millgraining. Size is 2 3/8" tall north to south by 1 1/2" wide east to west. The oval top loop will hold 3mm chaining. With the top loop the pendant measures 2 1/2" tall. Weight is 10.2 grams. Condition is excellent, minimal age wear. Never altered or repaired. All original, estate found condition. Fancy Sterling Silver 8 Day Travel Clock Works Original Swiss Mechanism Closed Face
This is a 1920s to 1930s antique vintage early Art deco sterling silver 8 day travel clock in excellent condition with its original mechanism intact. It is marked sterling and also hallmarked. Additionally, it is tested and Guaranteed solid sterling silver.....not plated. Very well made with heavy sterling silver, deeply engraved pattern on both sides and a very strong locking clasp. Size is 3.5″ by 2.87″ and measures 1/2″ deep/thick on the center edges. Weight with the clock inside is 241.6 grams. The outside has a fancy script monogram. The inside was never monogrammed or inscribed. We wound it up about 45 minutes ago and it has been ticking accordingly non stop keeping good time. Other than a fingernail mark in the monogram the sterling silver is excellent all the way around. No dents, tears, gauges, deep scratches etc… Porcelain clock face is good and the original crystal in intact. From an estate and in original condition this is a beautiful addition for your antique and vintage silver or clock collection; very fancy examples are not easy to find!

1940s Handkerchief Group 4 World War 2 WW2 Hankies - This is a group of 4 ladies hankies from the 1940s sent home to sister from soldier. They are all silk taffeta. Sorry for the photo glare. The only one with any age discoloration is the purplish gray one. All of the others have good even color. They are from an estate from years ago where they have been put away for many decades. Two are embroidered AAE which I assume is American Air Force. None have any tears or holes. Both the blue one and the pink one have lost their AAE and the blue one lost its star. Other than needing the AAE stitched back into the handkerchiefs this group was kept in very good condition. Photos show you each full side of each individual handkerchief.

Size is 12" square including the fringe. These 75 yr old hankies showing the old Cuban flag alongside the American flag are very rare and hard to find!!

Heavy Art Deco Retro 14k Rose Gold Ruby Diamond Ring - This is a lovely showy 1940s Art Deco Retro estate ring in original, excellent condition. It is marked 14K, tested and Guaranteed solid 14K gold.....Not plated or filled. The top has Art Deco futuristic design with a covex curved fan pattern alongside a deeply recessed concave scalloped edge pattern. The gemstones are prominently positioned within the concave section of the gold. Total carat gemstone weight is approximately .7 carats. The bezel set diamond is sparkly and noticeable, about .1 carat while the rubies are .6 carat. ****The actual rubies are much deeper darker red color than the photos. All stones are well matched in size and color. You can see in the photos that there is a solid back so you know this is an original, Art Deco ring. Additionally, it is very solid and well made so it will last and last. Both the band and the top are very thick and chunky. Ring size is 7. Weight is heavy at 9.7 grams. Condition is excellent. No dents or dings or deep scratches. Never altered or repaired. Very gently used. Very minor age wear. Size of top is just over 5/8" north to south by 3/4" east to west. Vintage 14K Gold Beads Filigree Clasp Pearls Bracelet - This is a lovely 1970s mid century cultured pearls bracelet with large, showy 7.5mm sized pearls, solid 14K gold filigree clasp and solid 14K gold bead connectors. The pearls are average quality and you can see they are natural as each and every pearls has its own individual characteristics. All are pretty well matched in size and color. Although not eye visible some of the small bead connectors have tiny age dings found with a loupe. Clasp is all good and is marked 14K. The pearls are a great size and slightly better than average. This is a lovely vintage bracelet to wear with any pearl necklace you may have.

It is also numbered C631 and has the size of 9 1/2 In stamped into the bottom. Actual Size is 10" east to west by 7 7/8" north to south by 2.25" deep. It has a large, broad, deep curved edge which is ornately reticulated with lots of fancy open work as well as a Victorian beaded edge. Weight is 218.2 grams. Other than some light surface age wear scratches which could be professionally polished out by any jeweler and a few small minor dings it is in excellent condition. All original. A beautiful addition for your formal dining table.

There are 2 pair of pierced post, 2 pair of screw back and 4 pairs of double bead leverback clip ons. They have a pretty multi color mix of red, white and blue colors. Each earring is showy and noticeable at 9mm to 10mm individual bead size. They have old silverplated screwbacks that are well made and secure. Any glue marks you may see on the backs in the enlarged photos are not eye noticeable when the earrings are worn on the ears. Unknown if they are drilled but they do have back covers on the beads that are glued and secure. Never used and in like new condition. They are from the estate of a mid century jewelry store. Store in operation from 1960s to 2005 and these were stored in basement for decades. A lovely group of good sized vintage Murano glass earrings for you or for resale!

Group 5 Pairs Vintage Murano Art Glass Bead Screw Screwback Earrings old store stock 1970s to 1980s vintage blown enameled art glass Murano bead screwback earrings. They have a pretty multi color mix of red, green, white and blue colors. Each earring is showy and noticeable at 9mm to 10mm size. They have old silverplated silverplate screwbacks that are well made and secure. Any glue marks you see on the backs in the enlarged photos are not eye noticeable when the earrings are worn on the ears. Unknown if they are drilled but they do have back covers on the beads that are glued and secure. Never used and in like new condition. They are from the estate of a mid century jewelry store. Native American Mens Belt Buckle Claw Apache Gold Stone Sterling Silver - This is a Southwestern vintage artist signed Native American solid sterling silver Apache Gold Stone and bear claw mens belt buckle. It is marked sterling with artist initials and Native American maker hallmark. The center holds a well grained turquoise stone that measures 24mm north to south by 13mm across the center east to west. Flanking the center turquoise is a large 44mm by 18mm Arizona Apache Gold Stone on one side and a large natural 53mm by 16mm bear claw on the other side. Size of buckle is 3.75" inches east to west by 2.5" north to south. Weight is 56.4 grams. There is a photo of the maker/artist marking. It is from an estate and has not been polished out. Overall condition is excellent, gently used. No dents or dings or deep scratches. Completely original. Never altered, repaired or modified in any way. Strong and very well made this is a lovely addition for your antique and vintage Native American collection.

5 Pairs Vintage Marbled Green Kiwi Lime Bakelite Pierced Post Earrings - This is a group of tested and guaranteed bakelite earrings in marbled green kiwi lime color and large 1.18" size. They are from the 1970s to 1980s and have a lacquer finish. So, in order to test them properly we cut one extra earring and were able to smell the burnt electronic smell associated with bakelite. We also simichrome tested the inside. Additionally, the earring charred but did not melt when placed over fire. They are a lovely light medium kiwi lime green color with yellow marbling, somewhat more muted baeklite color than the photo could capture. Unknown if they were ever drilled. They have strong and securely glued backs with silverplated covers and posts and stainless butterfly catches. Any glue marks you may see in the enlarged photos are not eye noticeable when the earrings are worn on the ear. All are in excellent, condition.
