This is an adorable vintage 1950s Japan cutie pie wall pocket of a red devil imp child with googly eyes in a most unusual red color to match the devil imp theme. 1950s Japan, superb quality workmanship. Great painting. It is from an estate where it was well kept for many decades. The red, white, gray, and black are deep with brilliant color. The back and bottom are glazed white. Other than a very small glaze craze (Not an open crack) on the back edge it is in perfect condition overall. No cracks or chips. No flakes or breaks. No repair. Never repainted. Completed original and as excellent as possible for its age. Beautifully painted in a rare and harder to find color this is a wonderful addition for your vintage cutie pie collection of wall pockets. Vintage Sterling Silver Garnet Toggle Bracelet Size 7″ Brutalist Mid Century 1970s Dark Red Bohemian Stones
Lovely vintage 925 solid sterling silver and garnet toggle bracelet in size 7". Extra link so it is adjustable down to 6 3/4". It is late mid century 1970s to 1980s with somewhat of a brutalist flare. Width is 1/2" across. Back is marked 925 for sterling silver quality. Weight is 20 grams. One element near the end is missing a tiny silver dot. Other than this it is in excellent condition. No repair. Could use a polishing. No dents or dings. No tears or deep scratches to the sterling silver. One stone has normal light surface scuffs. There are No chips or cracks to any of the stones. You can see this bracelet is hand crafted and older. All of the stones are rectangle cuts and bezel set and the back of each element has a small drill hole for light for each garnet. The stones are sparkly and the red color is more obvious is direct lighting. Bohemian garnets were very prevalent in the Victorian era and have retained their popularity over the years. They were originally found in Czechoslovakia during the 16th century. This is a lovely bracelet for your vintage jewelry collection. Good for day or evening wear.
Mid Century 1950s Modernist Atterberg for Upsala Eckeby Swedish Modern Striped Tray Earthtones Nevada 8 3/4″ Wall Hanging Scandinavian
Designed by Ingrid Atterberg, leading designer for Upsala Eckeby, this is a lovely hand crafted earthenware tray in showy contrasting earth colored striped hand glazing. This Swedish modern striped effect was initiated by Atterberg in 1949 and carried into the 1950s whereupon she designed many products for Upsala Eckeby using this motif which has been referred to as "Nevada" given the comparison to the earthy colors of the Nevada landscape.
This personal hand tray is a lovely example of Atterberg's work and beautifully depicts the milk white to deep brown to golden striping that she is known for. It is from an estate where it has not been used in many years. Size is 8 3/4" wide across east to west by 6 3/4" north to south. Depth/height is 1/2". It could be used as a wall hanging to enhance your mid century decor. Also looks fine on a desk, accent table, vanity etc....It has one glaze flake on the very edge toward the underside which is quite small and measures about 1/8". This flake does not interfere with the earthenware structure which is fine and has no chips or flakes. We took an enlarged photos so you could see it clearly. Other than this the tray is in excellent overall condition. No cracks or chips. No breaks No repair. A lovely example of mid century Scandinavian artistry by a well known sculptural artist for your modernism collection.

Ingrid Magdalena Atterberg-Göransson (b. 1920 - d. 2008) was a celebrated epitome of illustrious Swedish ceramic design of the 20th century and a leading designer for Upsala Ekeby in the 1950s and 1960s. Atterberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
In 1944, she was employed at Upsala Ekeby, where appreciation for her works as a ceramicist continued to grow over the years. She was known for using 'manganese clay' in the 1940s and chamotte in the 1950s, and successfully developed her own glazes. In the late 1940s, her own collection called "Ekeby Verkstad" was born with a numbered series that began at 100.
During her career, Atterberg had several exhibitions and received a gold medal for her work in Italy as well as completing a number of public commissions.

Signed Sagitta Holland with the arrow maker mark this is a lovely example of mid century impressionism of a stylized baby deer like Bambi with exaggerated legs and neck in a forest at night amidst bright green enameled flora and yellow enameled fireflies. The fawn is white enamel with copper colored dots. The scene looks magical. Size is 5 1/2" across in diameter. Depth is 3/4". the back of the copper has age related brown patina marks that have not been polished out. Overall condition is excellent. No damage or repair. All enamel intact. No chips or cracks. A lovely impressionist signed collectible for your mid century collection. Also good for wall hanging. Lovely design and very pretty enameling.

Mid Century Fancy 12k Gold Filled Heart Locket Pendant No Monogram Vintage 1960s 1970s
Vintage 1960s to 1970s mid century heart locket pendant marked 12K gold filled with a maker mark of BB, likely from one of the Rhode Island jewelry houses that made much of this jewelry in the 60s. Photos were glued to the inside. Size is 1.25" north to south from top loop to bottom by 15/16" east to west. The front was never monogrammed or inscribed and it has a slight ding under the cartouche which is only seen up close when the light hits the striations in the gold a certain way. The rest of the heart including the fancy back is in excellent condition overall. The snap closure is strong and works well. You can hear the loud snap locking it in place when you close it up. Lovely vintage item for your memorable photos for everyday use.

Vintage Mid Century 1960s 1970s Danish Modern Teak Wood Abstract Art Table Lamp Scandinavian Orange Colorful Free Form Enameled
This is a vintage 1960s to 1970s mid century hand painted enameled and teak Scandinavian Danish Modern table lamp. It is quite colorful with a flamboyant, showy mix of oranges, yellows, reds, blacks etc. One side is free form and the other side looks more like mid century drip art. The colors are brighter and more noticeable in person that what you see in photos. You can immediately see that it is from the mid 1900s. The teak wood has some wear to the finish which does not detract and can probably be oiled up once it is cleaned. This item is from an estate where it sat for many decades. It will need a green felt replacement on the bottom the original felt disintegrated and I wouldn't trust such an old style wire so you should probably rewire it. Overall condition is excellent. No cracks or chips or flakes. No damage or repair. Size is just about 24" tall. Without the harp the teak wood body measures 11" tall by 6" wide at the base. The enameled center is 6 1/2" square. This is a most unusual mid century lamp for your vintage modernist collection.

Size is 1 1/8" tall north to south by 13/16" east to west. Overall condition is excellent, very gently used. The agate itself is 30mm by 18mm. No cracks or chips. No dents or dings. It wasn't ever altered or modified. All original. Add any small chain and you will have a lovely, showy, green stone necklace. The back has a very shiny finish which leads me to be believe that it may have had a lacquer coating applied by the jeweler back in the 70s in order to prevent tarnishing. It also has a marking in the silver on the lower back near the rim which is likely a 925 marking for sterling quality.

The inside of the leaf has short, crisp, tight, striations from top to bottom and the stem ins raised inside of the leaf about 3/4 of the way up to the leaf point where is blends into the rest of the stem which is inverted into the silver. Size of pin is 2 3/4" north to south by 2" wide east to west across the leaves. These pieces are very deep, 2 dimensional and have a height of almost 1". The earrings are 1 3/4" long north to south by 1 5/8" wide east to west across the leaves. Earrings height is 1/2". Weight of all 3 pieces combined is heavy at 47 grams. Other than one very small ding to the top grape on the pin all 3 pieces are in excellent condition. All are beautifully hand crafted of high quality Mexican Sterling Silver. 1960s Danish Modern Large Rose Quartz Pin Brooch by mid century Scandinavian artist/designer NE Niels Erik From in sterling silver and rose quartz. As with much of From’s minimalist artistic work during this time frame the pin is concave bowl shaped which makes the large bezel set rose quartz stone visibly open yet deep set. Size is 1 3/4″ by 1 1/8″. The large 25mm by 14mm rose quartz stone is pale pink color with silvery rutilated lines inside the stone. Other than surface age scratches to the sterling it is in excellent condition. No cracks or chips or abrasions to the stone. No dents or dings. Never repaired or altered. All original condition. Vintage Florenza Pin Brooch Black Glass Cab Faux Pearls - Lovely brooch from an old jewelry store estate this is a gorgeous mid century Florenza black glass cabochon brooch with a strong antique finish to the heavy gold plating. The cabochon measures about 25mm long. As many collectors of these old Florenza and Goldette pieces know oftentimes it is either unmarked or the marking is more often underneath that thick gold finish. They were so heavily plated that oftentimes the markings were buried under the gold plating and heavy finish. Florenza was well known for its mid century cameo and art glass jewelry. This piece has very fancy filigree with tiny cut work on the gold edges. Very intricate and well detailed. Beautiful, perfect no wear condition. No wear to the antiqued gold finish. No filigree damage etc…. The faux pearls are 2mm and the faux emerald rhinestone accents are about 5mm each. Size of brooch north to south is 2 1/4″ north south by 2 1/8″ east west. Spotting Florenza Jewelry
One of the easiest ways of spotting Florenza jewelry is to look for the trademark stamp on the jewelry piece. Most of the jewelry they produced has the word Florenza in script or print followed by the copyright mark. Some of the pieces will have the name Florenza in script and circled while other will have the name printed within a square or rectangle. The actual location of the mark depended on the size of the jewelry as well as its design.
However, Kasoff started using the mark only after he discovered that he could claim original design rights. This means that some of the original Kasoff designed jewelry are not marked with the Florenza name but are still prized by collectors because of the intricate and high quality design and finish.
Another reason why some of the Florenza jewelry pieces do not have the mark is because they are part of a set. In such cases, only the bracelet or necklace was stamped with the mark and not the earring or the stud. Apart from this, some of the jewelry produced by Kasoff was not marked for unknown reasons. Some collectors speculate that particular designs were purchased totally by a specific wholesaler who marketed it under their own brand name.
As a rule Florenza jewelry have most of the features described here. Most Florenza jewelry had stones set in Tiffany style.This means that there will be multiple faux prongs or clasps surrounding the stones. Moreover, the unsigned pieces should have the same texture, clasps, links, and clips as found in the signed pieces.
While many costume jewelry manufacturers used some of the same techniques, if you find an unsigned piece that closely resembles the signed Florenza lines, then it is more likely to be a Florenza original.
Antique Jewelry Looks
Florenza jewelry pieces are distinctive for their antique looks and resemble Victorian and Renaissance jewelry.
Florenza Jewelry was initially designed by Daniel Kasoff whose original name was Kosovsky. He started off his career in the garment industry and it was chance that gave him an entry into the costume jewelry business. He was out dining when someone stole his coat. Mr. Speier was also in the same restaurant and paid him for a replacement coat. Kasoff repaid Speier the amount as soon as he was able, and Speier, impressed with his honesty offered him a job in Speier Costume Jewelry Co.
There, Kasoff was able to gain experience in various aspects of the business and ten years later he branched out. He set up Kaywin Novelty New York in the 1930s along with Marty Weiner. He then set up his own costume jewelry company called The Dan Kasoff Company using savings he had accumulated by then.
Emphasis on Quality
Florenza jewelry placed emphasis on quality and fine finish. This is what made marks such as Estee Lauder and Revlon choose to use their products and designs.
Legacy Dan’s son Larry Kasoff continued to carry on the legacy of his father and the Florenza jewelry line was produced until 1981. Larry Kasoff was planning a new line of jewelry at that time when he was severely injured in an automobile accident. This forced him to shut shop and Florenza jewelry is no longer produced.

Mid Century Double Sided Mexican Sterling Silver Taxco Turquoise Inlay Shell Pendant - This is a heavy vintage mid century Mexican with an azurite malachite, shell, and turquoise inlay on one side and an azureite, turquoise and copper inlay on the other side set in sterling silver. It is marked Taxco 925 circle mark with ORC maker mark inside the circle and a left facing #3 eagle mark. Size is just about 1 1/2" across in diameter. With the bail it is just under 2" tall. Weight is 21.6 grams. Overall condition is excellent. No chips or flakes to the stone work. Never repaired or altered. Minimal age wear. This is a very well made, hand crafted, stone inlay dangle pendant for your mid century and/or Mexican silver jewelry collection. Both sides depict Aztec cultural design.

Vintage Taxco Mexican Sterling Silver Amethyst Cross Pendant - This is a well made mid century hand crafted Taxco Mexico sterling silver cross pendant with amethyst and green onyx cabochon stones. It is marked Hecho en Mexico, DF, 925 circle mark with maker MM in the center. It also has a right facing #1 eagle marking. It is beautifully crafted with crimped gemstone settings much in the style of MATL jewelry and has an oxidized background finish. It also had fancy notches around the perimeter as you would see in hand crafted millgraining. Size is 2 3/8" tall north to south by 1 1/2" wide east to west. The oval top loop will hold 3mm chaining. With the top loop the pendant measures 2 1/2" tall. Weight is 10.2 grams. Condition is excellent, minimal age wear. Never altered or repaired. All original, estate found condition. A lovely addition for your vintage mid century and/or Mexican silver jewelry collection.

Mid Century Smiling Aztec God Pendant Taxco Sterling Mexican Silver Face Pin Large - Signed CM maker with Hecho en Mexico, 925 circle mark along with Sterling Taxco mark as well as a right facing eagle #3 mark this is a gorgeous large mid century smiling Aztec god pendant pin. It guaranteed solid sterling silver and is in original, unaltered, excellent condition. Size is 2 1/4" east to west by 2 1/8" north to south. Weight is 20.4 grams. All of the facial detail and headwear are deeply recessed and well formed. The back is also very well made with a locking clasp that stays in place and won't open as well as a large round bale that will hold 3.5mm to 4mm thick chaining for a showier dangling look. Large Chunky Mid Century Sterling Silver Plum Color Stone Ring
Large Chunky Mid Century Sterling Silver Plum Color Stone Ring - This is a very large chunky beautifully made 1960s mid century ring. It is solid sterling silver and marked with an old block letter full word sterling marking which is prior to the 1970 assay update laws mandating a 925 mark. This ring has a very big bulky mounting and thick side lugs and 4 large thick prongs to hold the stone in place. the lugs, shanks, and undermount have very strong geometrically juxtaposed mid century design for noticeable contrast. Ring size is 7 1/2. Weight is 17.6 grams. The top holds a beautiful 24mm or almost 1" long emerald cut deep purplish brown plum colored stone with lots of internal metallic flash. Stone is likely 1960s synthetic. It has gorgeous color with lots of fire. Height from top of stone to bottom of mounting, finger line is just over 1/2". The sterling silver is excellent. No dents or dings. No damage or repair. No alterations or resize. No gauges or deep scratches. The stone has a few light age scuffs to the surface that are not eye obvious. No chips or cracks or flakes or deep scratches. Overall condition is completely original and excellent. This is a gorgeous showy ring for your vintage mid century jewelry collection.
