Stunning 1950s vintage mid century 900 coin silver and gold wash pin brooch of an exotic Guatemalan long-tailed Quetzal bird. It is marked 900 Coin Silver Peru, San Antonio Guatemala with an artist's name that I can't read. It is beautifully crafted...very strong, sturdy and solid. Well made. You can see it is older as it is 1/8" thick and weight is heavy at 20.3 grams. It came from an estate where it has not been used in many decades. Lots of age patina. Not freshly polished. Size is 3 1/3" tall north to south by 1 3/4" wide east to west leaf to leaf. Condition is excellent. No damage or repair.No dents or dings. No tears or cracks. Locking clasp is still strong and works well. Lovely addition for your vintage mid century jewelry or bird collection. Looks lovely on any lapel.
