1960s 1970s Arthur Pepper ART Co. Antique French Finish Silver Plated Filagree Miniature Purse Coin Locket Solid Perfume
This is a beautiful example of the 1960s to 1970s Arthur Pepper ART Co. of NYC miniature fancy filigree miniature purse for coins, paper money, solid perfume, keepsake locket (hair, photos or other momentos). It is made of very, very thick silver plate with a dark antique French or Russian finish which was popular at the time and used by other makers of the same era (Goldette, Hollycraft, Florenz, Hattie Carnegie etc...) It has the strong "kiss lock" for which ART 50.00is well-known and it is also fully functioning. The purse opens completely and the handle swivels completely rolling over the lock and then down each side. Overall condition is excellent. No damage or repair. No wear to the silver at all. All Victorian Revival blown out design along with the fancy filigree is completely intact. The hinged base is also strong and secure. This is a gorgeous example of vintage mid century Victorian Revival jewelry for your jewelry and vintage ladies accessories collection. Add any long chain and it will make a beautiful showy dangle necklace!
