Antique Victorian 14k Gold Banded Agate Star Stickpin From an estate, completely original and all hand carved with hand goldsmithing work. It was jeweler stamped 14K somewhere along the way and is also tested and guaranteed to be solid 14K yellow gold; both head and stick. From an estate and completely original condition from the mid 1800s. The goldsmith work is done by hand and the carved stone is gorgeous. There is a lovely Victorian deep carved star which is curvy to resemble a flower which is carved from the black layer of the banded eye of the agate. Framing the black flower star is a well defined sharply carved white star from the white layer of the agate. All of this is set against the contrasting gray background from the gray part of the agate. There are also additional tiny carved stars gracing the perimeter. This is an absolutely stunning rare piece for your Victorian gold stickpin or jewelry collection. Other than is a very small fingernail crease on the upper back and a small age/use bend in the stick it is in excellent condition. It was stored away in this family estate for way over 100 years and was never touched or used. Size is 2 1/2″ tall North to South. The head is 5/8″ by 1/2″. This stickpin has a stunningcarved agate head. A gorgeous Victorian addition for your discriminating antique gold collection.
