Description
This is a vintage mid century 1950s-1960s weight sterling silver pedestal compote made by Gorham. It measures 6 1/4″ tall from edge of bowl rim straight down to table. Size across bowl is 6″ across in diameter. The bottom base measures 3 1/4″ across in diameter. The bowl in in very good condition having only 1 very small, minor ding. The base has a 7/16″ finger indent. No wobble at all. The entire compote sits flat on the table without any wobble at all . Pedestal seems to have a slight tilt. on one side and no tilt at all when you turn it around to the other side. There is no dent at the connection of the bowl to the pedestal as you can see in the upside down photo. So, no tilt on one and a slight tilt on the opposite side. Have no idea why this is….Other than this it is in very good condition. Never monogrammed or inscribed. A lovely decorative sterling silver server for your formal dining table or with mints on your foyer table.
