This is an original, natural, antique Victorian, dogbone angelskin coral strand, beaded necklace that has been restrung and has a new 14K yellow gold fancy filigree clasp. It is marked 14k and Guaranteed to be solid 14K gold….Not plated or filled. This is a very early strand with beads that average 3/8″ long to 7/16″ long (10mm to 11mm) each. Size, color, and age wear show you that these beads are early ones. Each bead has its own different characteristics and color variations. Photos above show you the strand in natural lighting as well as with camera flash. The beads are light color angelskin coral being peachy but having more white color. Size of entire necklace is 17″ long end to end. Weight is 25.5 grams. Condition is original, excellent, very gently used. Some beads have minor age wear. Some have natural inclusions. They still retain their very soft, pretty, angelskin color. New stringing and look good. You can see they are nice early natural beads. They were well kept over the years out of sunlight. This is a lovely, early, original, natural strand for your antique jewelry collection. Nice to find a great example of Victorian angelskin coral made before the oceans became polluted; there is probably a very limited amount of this true coral left in the waters today!!
