From an estate this is a lovely mid century Scandinavian Danish 830 Silver K Jacobsen Serving Spoon made by well known Danish silver maker Knud Jacobsen in Silkeborg, Denmark between 1956 and 1983. It is a beautiful, large, 8″ size serving Spoon for casseroles, vegetable or anything else you may like. In addition to the 830 silver mark and the K Jacobsen marking it also has a HS hallmark to identify the exact silversmith who made this spoon in the Knud Jacobsen shop. Knud Jacobsen was a noted Danish Flatware Designer whose shop operated from 1906 to 1983. This piece was made between 1940s – 1950s. It has a very strong, stylized orchid handle and a large bowl that measures 3 inches by 2.25 inches. It is also very well made…..thick, solid, durable and weighty at 69.5 grams. Size is 8″ long. It has never been monogrammed or inscribed. Condition is as found in the estate or original owner. There is average age wear, general surface scratch and wear mark scratches on the back. All scratches are on the surface and can be polished out. No dents or dings or tears or bends. No deep scratches. Other than the surface wear it is in excellent condition. This is a gorgeous showy vintage Danish Modern piece by a well known maker for your table and/or silver collection.
