Antique Brass Bronze Gold Gilt Hand Brush Vanity Estate Item. This is a lovely, fancy late Art Deco gold gilt hand brush. Metal is brass or bronze as a magnet does Not stick to it. Underneath the gilt it is very dark with patina and looks like bronze. The top brush is wood top with plastic bristles. The back has a paper cover that is still in pretty good condition with a thin clear plastic cover that no longer fits properly. A piece of plastic cut from a toy box is an easy easy fix. The top frame is a fancy decorated raised floral pattern done in relief that goes all the way around the borders, front and back, and is also on the edges. Very pretty. The handle is 6 sided with each panel being deeply ridged with raised Art Deco geometric elements also done in relief. Again, very pretty. The only noticeable age wear is on the connector and the bottom cover. The gold gilt, the brush and the wood are still in very good to excellent condition. This is a sturdy and very, very well made brush for your vintage and antique ladies accessories and vanity collection; a lovely estate find!!
