If you look at the hand enamel work with a loupe you can see that it has beautiful opalescent colors as you would find on high quality pearls or opals to match the pearly enameling. There are faint glinting peaches and pinks in lighting amid pale blue gray moonstone colors within white. With the naked eye the colors look like very pale blue green and off white with gold that shades in and out with movement. All of the enamel work is very thick and bezel set. You have to look again and again with a loupe to see that the flowers are not carved moonstones or pearl. You can see it is made of very early high quality opalescent glass enameling.
The 14K gold still has its beautiful original soft Jugendstil butler finish that looks like a thick gold gilt. Absolutely gorgeous and in beautiful condition, this is a lovely original antique 14K Art Nouveau Jugendstil necklace for your collection.
