Description
This is a late Art Deco 1940s to 1950 Cornell University key fob charm made by the Norsid Company of NY which was known to have made institutional and military jewelry during 1940s World War II. It has a beautifully decorated enameled front with an open book, shields, and multiple layers of enamel on raised scalloped border. Background is has deeply carved linear Art Deco geometric pattern throughout. Size is 1 9/16″ north to south by 3/4″ east to west. It appears to be made of a solid gold medal like brass, Not plated. Overall condition is excellent. No dents or dings or tears. From an estate where it has been sitting for many decades. A lovely addition for any fan of vintage ivy league jewelry and accessories or anyone who attended Cornell.
