XL Vintage Taxco Mexican Sterling Silver 27m Slab Onyx Pin Chunky 1970s to 1980s It is marked TC-91 withe the T to indicate Taxco origin and the C to indicate the state in which it was made. The 91 is the number of the maker/artist that is assigned by the Mexican Government. It is also marked Mexico, 925 for Sterling Silver quality and FTC which are the initials of the maker. Additionally, it is jeweler tested and Guaranteed solid sterling silver. Size is 2 1/8″ North to South by 1 1/8″ East to West by 3/8″ deep/thickness. Weight is heavy at 21.3 grams. The sterling silver is thick and solid. The pin holds a huge showy 27m onyx slab cut onyx cabochon stone that is hand set into a large, deep bezel. The back has a very small ding on the top edge that is not eye noticeable when it is worn as it is on the back. Other than this it is in excellent condition. Looks great and very eye catchy when shown on a lapel and would also be a beautiful if repurposed into a necklace centerpiece given its size and chunkiness. This is a lovely well made vintage statement piece for your jewelry collection.

For sale is an Edwardian to Early Art Deco hand carved cameo shell pin set in a 14k white gold frame. The frame features fancy fleur de lis prongs, filigree open work on the sides and an engraved twist design on the gold edges. The frame is marked 14k. Cameo has a beautifully carved border, rosettes, pansies, strong facial features and hair. Weight is 7.1 grams. Size is 1 3/4" tall North to South by 1 5/16" wide East to West. The condition is excellent with no cracks, chips, flakes, dents or damage. It has one thin scratch line on the back but it is not visible on the front. The natural shell has a deep curve which causes the cameo to sit higher in the setting on the top and bottom than on the sides. This is characteristic of the piece of shell that was used. This is an exquisite and rare cameo for your collection.
