Vintage Sterling Silver Amethyst Glass Cake Tray Ornate Large

This is an exceptional Antique Vintage Amethyst Glass Amethyst Glass Serving Tray with lots of fancy Sterling Silver Overlay. Beautiful early true amethyst glass for any formal dining table centerpiece. The top is completely decorated and the back is just as ornate with a highly recessed semi circular pattern throughout; very deep. Size is 14 1/4″ across in diameter by 1 1/4″ top to bottom. The silver overlay is a mix of floral and multi flourishes that covers the entire surface of the top all the way around. It has a strong deep amethyst color similar to black amethyst but is earlier as you can see from the transparency and deep cranberry color in lighting. It is in completely original condition having a little light age wear to the silvering. No sickness or wear marks to the glass. No chips or flakes or nicks or cracks or any other damage. No repair or modifications of any kind. It is from a one family intergenerational estate and was very well kept over the years. Not easy to find, this is an absolutely stunning early silver overlay amethyst glass tray to grace your formal dining table. Looks lovely with a sterling serving bowl or any amethyst glass fruit bowl in the center. By adding a fruit bowl you can also use it as a drippy floral centerpiece, as well.
