Gorgeous fancy vintage 1950s-1960s Russian Silver mens ring with Star, Hammer, Sickle hallmark and 875 silver purity mark. Also maker marked. The top holds its original natural 15mm square cut bezel set onyx stone. The shank/sides have very elegant connecting scrolls amid a border comprised of tiny fancy millgrain cut work on the edges. The hallmark is seen on the outside of the bottom of the band. Ring size is 11 1/2. The top measures 18mm north to south and tapers down to 4.5mm. Weight is 6.1 grams. Sides and back have a black oxidized finish. Other than some age wear on the edges it is in excellent condition. No tears or dents or deep scratches. Stone is all good. No chips, flakes, abrasions or wear marks on the stone. This is a lovely mid century ring for your vintage mens jewelry collection. It has nice visible clear hallmarks and was likely made in Kabachi, a village known world wide to be a metal working center located close to the Dagestan capital of Makhachkala, a small part of Federal Russia located 40 hours by train from Moscow. Kabachi used this particular hallmark in their silver and the Arab influence in the design is apparent.
