Description
This is a gorgeous early European Hungarian 900 silver lobster hallmarked fancy Victorian Etruscan pin brooch. The early punch mark hallmark has numbers/letters above the lobster indicating its late 1800s Austro Hungarian origination. The back has its original early antique Victorian era elongated C hook clasp. Any marks you may see on the back are from the hand making and hand tooling on the front. Excellent, gently used, all original condition. No damage or repair. Size is 2 3/8″ east west by 1 3/4 north south. The Etruscan work on the front is highly detailed, crisp and beautiful indicative of its European Victorian period making. This is an unusually fine brooch for your antique jewelry collection.
