This is a 1970s vintage 750 European made 18K yellow gold bracelet with 15 carats of showy, sparkly, deep red, bezel set, oval European inversion cut, Natural Bohemian Pyrope Garnets. It is marked 18K, jeweler tested and Guaranteed to be solid 18K yellow gold. Each stone is 7mm by 5mm. All are natural mined and well matched in deep Port Wine red color with a lovely internal glow. These are vintage inversion cuts so the faceted cushion is atop the stones with a faceted oval cut on the bottoms. Using this cut creates good sparkle and show on top. It also creates the ability to bezel the stones so the bracelet can sit flat on the wrist rather than falling over to one side. Length is 7 1/8″ long end to end. Width is 3/16″, small to small/medium and in the 1970s these were popular for layering with other gemstone stacking bracelets. Weight is 4.8 grams. A couple of the stones have very tiny age nicks or abrasions that are not eye noticeable at all. Can’t see this when the bracelet is worn on the wrist. If you look at the enlarged magnified photos you will see that one has a tiny nick. It is very, very tiny at the edge of one facet only. Overall condition is excellent, gently used. No repair or alteration. All original. No cracks or breaks. No large chips or flakes. In bright shiny 18K yellow gold this is a lovely gemstone bracelet for your collection. Great for stacking and strong color to the stones….very dark red, all 15 CARATS!!
