Antique 1904 Edwardian Sterling Silver Gold Enamel Canada Buckle Pin
This is a lovely antique 1904 Edwardian Late Victorian to Early Edwardian large enameled sterling silver buckle sash pin of symbolic of Canada. The front is very fancy with enameled images of Alberta, British Columbia, and Parva Sub Ingenti for Prince Edward Island. There are also enameled images of maple leaves, British Crowns, British Silver lion, a bison, a cross, a few elongated animals like cats, a fish, a ship and other images. The back is marked RD 1904 Sterling with a maker hallmark. Size is 2 3/4″ by 2″ (67mm by 48mm). The images are still deep carved and crisp. All enamel work is strong and intact. The back has a gold wash which is also intact. From an estate and in excellent, gently used condition this is a beautifully decorated, large antique pin for your Victorian/Edwardian jewelry collection.
