check these guys out 14K Yellow Gold Opal Insect Moth Butterfly Ring Size 6.25 – Vintage 1970s ring in solid 14k YELLOW Gold with a delicately tilted butterfly in flight on the top along with open filigree and 1970s brutalist setting. You can see in the photos that it is an older hand/sand cast ring; less polished and a little rougher on the inside indicative of its brutalist design. The top butterfly has lovely, light pastel, multi color, natural non enhanced opal cabochon cut stones with violets, aquas, teals, blues and consists of round cabochons encircling a 4.7mm pear cut opal. Ring size is 6.25. All of the opals are true natural mined opals with white bodies and lots of multi color highlights – not doublets or triplets. They are naturally very colorful and very pretty. Size of top butterfly is 5/8″ across east to west by 1/2″ wide north to south directly in the center between the wings. You can tell this is an older ring as the band is only 1/16″ all the way around. Weight is 3 grams. Condition is excellent, gently used. May have had a prior resize. No cracks to the gold, opals or open filigree on top. No wearing down of the gold. All good stones. A lovely unusual butterfly in flight ring for your vintage gold jewelry collection.
